Tree of Life - mat

This Tree of Life has been realized by Thomas Hernandez, one of the best living artist of Izucar de Matamoros, in the State of Puebla. The decorative style of this famous town has been developed by the unmatchable Maestro Alfonso Castillo Orta, who died a couple of years ago. A young Thomas Hernandez, like others artesans of Izucar, used to work in the Castillo's studio for some years and today is considered one of the best interpreter of this style, in my opinion the most beautiful decorative style in mexican terracotta. The tree is cooked at medium-high temperature and decorated with acrilic colours. In perfect condition.
